HR Advisor

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide comprehensive HR support across our business on an ongoing temporary basis. This role involves a 360-degree approach to HR, including the development and implementation of HR projects, processes, and actions. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our human resource mission and objectives through strategic planning and evaluation of employee relations, policies, practices, and procedures.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Manage ongoing employee-related cases, including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy.
  • Advise managers on employment terms and conditions, promoting best practices.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes.
  • Collaborate with the Group Training Manager on learning and development initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on employee benefits and participate in reward strategy development.
  • Support recruitment strategies and assist with the recruitment process.
  • Oversee the Right to Work auditing process and manage new starter inductions.
  • Advise on probation reviews and performance management plans.
  • Align HR strategy with business goals and support change management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
  • Implement and manage employee performance appraisals and training.
  • Manage employee sickness analysis and wellness programs.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and provide monthly HR activity reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • CIPD Level 3 Certificate in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of generalist HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Employment Law principles and their application.
  • Experience in handling a variety of ER case work.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to self-motivate.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive information and issues.
  • Decision-making skills with continuous risk assessment.

This is an ongoing temporary contract to start asap.
