Scrum Master- Insurance

Location: x 2 per week onsite in Central London

Our client is a leading Insurance business looking to hire a Scrum Master on a permanent basis.

You'll play a key role within Product teams, in pivotal position with the company during a time of business wide change and transformation.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent sprint goal achievement by reviewing sprint metrics, velocity trends, and impediment logs to identify patterns and areas for improvement in team performance.
  • Facilitate effective Agile ceremonies, fostering collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the squad.
  • Proactively identify and address impediments to the squad's progress, minimizing delays and maximizing productivity.
  • Promote strong Agile adoption, ensuring the squad embraces and effectively implements Agile principles and practices.
  • Foster squad engagement and morale, providing in-the-moment coaching to help the team embody an Agile mindset.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and customers to manage new demand and the backlog, and contribute to the Product team's annual planning.
  • Run problem-solving sessions to identify blockers to flow and improvement opportunities.
  • Engage with other Scrum Masters to manage cross-team dependencies and participate in Scrum Master communities of practice

Specialist Skills & Experience:

  • Deep understanding and practical experience with Agile principles, including the Scrum framework.
  • Industry experience within insurance, retail and commercial
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to facilitate information flow, transparency, and alignment within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Ability to mediate and resolve conflicts within the team, promoting open communication and finding solutions.
  • Expertise in facilitating Scrum events and guiding ceremonies to ensure they are productive and focused.
  • Strong leadership skills, empowering the squad to become self-organizing and cross-functional.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, encouraging retrospectives and implementing process enhancements**.**
