Job Opportunity: Despatch Planning & Stock Allocation Coordinator
Location: Reading Full-Time
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: 47 hrs per week Mon-Thurs 7am to 5pm Fri 7am to 4:30pm
Starting ASAP on a temporary to permanent basis
Are you highly organised with a keen eye for detail and experience in logistics and stock control? We're looking for a dedicated Despatch Planning & Stock Allocation Coordinator to join our clients fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment.
About the Role:
In this essential position, you will oversee the planning, reservation, and allocation of stock to fulfil customer orders from a busy despatch and distribution warehouse. You'll work collaboratively with internal departments including Despatch & Distribution, Material Control, Production, and Customer Service to ensure customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the reservation and allocation of stock to customer orders.
- Operate the E10 Despatch Fulfilment Workbench ERP system on a daily basis.
- Print and issue Despatch Job Traveller/Pick Sheets to the despatch team.
- Plan despatch jobs aligned with warehouse capabilities and schedule.
- Raise delivery notes for full pallet shipments and arrange transport with hauliers.
- Liaise with customer goods-in departments to confirm deliveries.
- Use the MRP system to support efficient order processing and timely despatch.
- Monitor and oversee order processing to meet productivity and operational targets.
- Maintain clear communication with Production Planning, Production Departments, Despatch, Customer Service, and Logistics teams.
- Handle communications and resolution of delivery claims through to conclusion.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer orders within the E10 Fulfilment Workbench.
- Reserve and allocate stock as per Customer Service requirements.
- Produce and maintain a Daily Despatch and Shipping Plan.
- Support the Despatch & Distribution Team Leader in keeping customer service overdue levels below £5K.
What You'll Bring:
- Strong background in logistics, warehouse operations or supply chain coordination.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, ideally with experience using E10 or similar.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities across departments.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
