Reed Further Education is supporting a college in Leicestershire in their search for an exceptional Maths or English Tutor. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students to develop their literacy and numeracy skills, tailored towards achieving qualifications or specific milestones. This position is pivotal in preparing students for adulthood and requires an individual who can lead and guide with innovation and passion.
Salary: £31,100 - £34,785

Day to Day of the Role:
- Delivering safe and empowering learning experiences that align with individual student needs and EHCP outcomes, aiming for success in adult life.
- Providing innovative, timely, and effective teaching, learning, and assessment to enhance students' progression opportunities.
- Developing age-appropriate learning resources and utilising the community to support learning.
- Acting as a reflective practitioner, constantly striving for improvement and actively contributing to quality cycles.
- Collaborating with tutors, learning support assistants, and other staff for the benefit of students, ensuring effective integration into all aspects of learning.
- Taking responsibility for the delivery, monitoring, and achievement of qualifications and RARPA for students within your area of responsibility.
- Adhering to all processes and procedures for the benefit of students and staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- PGCE / CertEd teaching qualification or equivalent.
- Level 3 or above in English and Maths.
- Educated to Level 3 in the required subject.
- Evidence of recent and ongoing professional development.
- Experience in teaching and relevant curriculum knowledge.
- Proficiency in IT to enhance the learning experience.
- Knowledge of English and Maths assessments.
Desirable:
- Experience with special education needs
- Assessor qualification – D32 / A1 / TAQA or willingness to work towards
