Academics are recruiting for Teaching Assistants that will support Year 3 and 4 students with elements of Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the vibrant city of Hounslow, West London.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your dedication, patience, and passion for helping pupils with SEN will make a lasting impact on their educational journey.
You will be required to provide one-on-one support to pupils with SEN, ensuring their individual learning needs are met. To collaborate with the class teacher to implement personalised learning strategies and accommodations. Also to foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment, promoting a sense of belonging for all pupils. Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and the implementation of differentiated instruction and to monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the teacher, contributing to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and to support pupils with their social and emotional well-being, helping them develop important life skills.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with primary school pupils, Year 3 and 4 experience would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Knowledge and understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young learners.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of pupils and the school community.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or special educational needs would be advantageous.
