Corporate Lawyer Opportunity at Legal 500 law firm - Reading (3-6 PQE)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Lawyer with 3-6 years of PQE to join a well-established organisation based in Reading. This position offers the chance to be part of a dynamic team and gain exposure to top-quality corporate work. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of matters, including M&A, Private Equity/Venture Capital, Capital markets listings/IPOs, public company takeovers, JVs, group restructurings, and corporate advisory matters.
Our client has a flexible working policy, with two team days per week in the Reading office. As a Corporate Lawyer, you will be involved in challenging technical work from the outset and provided with the necessary resources and support to progress your career. Our client is seeking individuals who have a commercial approach and a proven track record or keen interest in business development and client relationship management.
To be considered for this position, you should have between 3 and 6 years of PQE and relevant corporate law experience gained with a recognised regional or London commercial firm. Strong technical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills are essential. Our client values candidates who have a commercial outlook, dedication to exceptional client service delivery, a proactive style, and the ability to act on their own initiative. They are looking for individuals who are dedicated, determined, loyal, and have a team-playing approach. Strong analytical skills, excellent client care skills, and the ability to assume responsibility for your own matters are also important.
The successful candidate will join the Corporate team, which is top-ranked by the Independent Legal Directories. The team consists of specialist lawyers and serves an international portfolio of multinational client companies (public and private), SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and start-ups. They handle over 100 transactions each year, with deal values ranging from around £25m to £100m+.
