Site Electrical Technician

gap personnel (operating as an employment business) have an exciting opportunity for a Site Electrical Technician on Temporary basis to join a well-established manufacturing company who specialise in electrical products. Our client is seeking new talent to join their team. The environment is busy and fast paced.

you will be required to manage and maintain the site Portable Appliance Test compliance schedule. Support the Site Services team by completing assigned Helpdesk tasks in a timely manner, carrying out regular test, inspection, and maintenance activities. Whilst ensuring that the facility is compliant to health and safety standards and working practices.

Contract Type: Temporary 3 months

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £14.14 per hour

Shifts: Monday – Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30 and Friday 07:30 - 12:15,

Duties will include:

  • Provide first line response to site preventative and breakdown maintenance.
  • Fault finding and repairs on electrical equipment.
  • Installation of electrical plant equipment.
  • Carry out non-electrical duties

– General maintenance and repairs of building facilities.

  • Provide support for statutory compliance schedules.
  • Portable Appliance Testing

– Production and Engineering

- HAV testing of power tools

Essential Requirements:

  • Time served apprenticeship.
  • ONC (or equivalent) Electrical Engineering.
  • Inspection and Testing certificate. Desirable Requirements:
  • 18th Edition EIT Wiring regs.
  • Practical experience in mechanical and general building maintenance activities. Competencies Required:
  • Good command of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
