Sign Fitter
Duration: Temporary - Permanent
Location: Huddersfield
Pay: £11.44 starting rate, salary reviews in line with training / performance.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm
Breaks: 30 minute lunch + 1x short break in the AM and PM.
Stafflex are actively recruiting a Sign Fitter to join one of Huddersfield's home-grown companies, specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of quality signs, display systems and print solutions.

The Job:
The main role of the sign fitter is to carry out on site installations of a wide range of signage systems as well as self adhesive graphics for walls, windows and vehicles.
The fitter will also be required to assist the workshop staff with the production and preparation of signs and graphics.
Full in-house training will be provided for all duties, but experience with basic power & hand tools is a necessity. Further external training programs will be arranged as necessary, such as PASMA (scaffolding) & IPAF (powered access).
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Driving company vehicles to and from sites
- Erecting temporary scaffolding
- Working at height from temporary platforms, ladders or powered access
- Installing a wide range of sign systems and self adhesive graphics
- Keeping company vehicles and work sites clean, tidy and organised at all times.
- Communicating with customers
- Dealing with paperwork such as method statements, risk assessments & delivery notes.
- Carrying out workshop duties such as preparing graphics and manufacturing signs
Requirements:
- The suitable candidate will need to hold a full clean driving license, be motivated and conscientious, with a keen eye for detail, and will need to be a good team player with suitable communication skills.
- There will be the occasional need for overtime / weekend work, and sometimes working away from home with overnight hotel stays so must be flexible with this.
- Candidates must be 25+ for insurance purposes.
