Manager, Commodities Fund Accounting

Our client, a global multi-strategy investment firm operating across various markets, is currently seeking a talented Manager for their Commodities Fund Accounting team based in London.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee critical aspects of the firm's commodities operations, including the month-end close process for energy commodity transactions, settlements, and the implementation of essential systems. Your responsibilities will also include supporting accounting policies, preparing NAV reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • About 7-12 years of experience in physical commodities, including storage, transportation, and settlements.
  • Strong knowledge of European Commodities, specifically Gas & Power.
  • Will be handling the , therefore require experience with this
  • Experience with bank account reconciliations, month end close process as well as settlements, digging into the deals, ability to think through and solve problems.
  • Working knowledge of Endur or a similar ETRM system.
  • A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or similar) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake is advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
