HR Business Partner (Senior HR Advisor)

  • Location: Dartford (Regular travel to other sites required)
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
  • Salary: £38,000-£43,000pa

My client is seeking a proactive and experienced HR Business Partner to join the team. This role is based in Dartford and requires regular travel to other sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, ensuring compliance with regulatory, legislative, and procedural requirements, and will play a key role in managing and supporting our workforce.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships, providing consultancy services to management and staff.
  • Manage sickness and absence procedures, liaising with occupational health providers and assisting with health-related risk assessments.
  • Handle family leave cases and flexible working requests.
  • Manage individual employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, and capabilities.
  • Support performance management processes and coach managers through these systems.
  • Advise on pay, conditions of service, People policies, and employment law.
  • Guide workforce planning and recruitment, ensuring the attraction of qualified candidates.
  • Participate in the recruitment process, including interviews and implementing safer recruitment processes.
  • Conduct People induction for new managers and oversee staff CPD information.
  • Lead specific People projects and contribute to the development of People policies and procedures.
  • Create and deliver training on People related matters.
  • Produce management information reports and travel to other sites to maintain a high-profile People service.
  • Represent the People department internally and externally, ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (Level 7 and Post Graduate Degree in a People related discipline desirable).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and People practices.
  • Experience within a People team at a similar level.
  • Competency in operating and developing People information systems.
  • Experience in supporting managers through various People processes.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Packages.
  • Ability to travel between sites with access to a vehicle during the working day.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a flexible approach to work.
