Position: Early Year Educator
Location: Lancaster
Start Date: September
Pay Rate: £13-14 / hour

We heartily welcome a creative and flexible Early Year Educator who can create a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can thrive and reach their full potential in their early years of education who can join schools in and across Lancaster from September.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in a purpose-built Nursery environment designed to spark imagination and encourage exploration.
  • Plan and deliver a rich and varied curriculum that meets the unique needs and interests of each child, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Facilitate play-based activities and experiences that promote children social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children in the Nursery class, following safeguarding procedures and promoting a safe and secure environment.
  • Use observation and assessment tools to track children progress, identify individual needs, and plan next steps in their learning journey.
  • Build trusting and supportive relationships with children, providing emotional support and encouragement as they explore and learn.

Preferred Skills:

  • Genuine enthusiasm for working with young children and a deep understanding of the importance of early childhood education.
  • Ability to create engaging and stimulating learning experiences that inspire children curiosity and imagination.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong observational skills to assess children development and identify their interests, strengths, and areas for further support.

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this)
  • Good knowledge of the UK national curriculum.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
