Job Title: Family Safeguarding Consultant Social Worker
Location: West (Apsley) & East (Stevenage), Hertfordshire County Council
Position: Full-time, Permanent

Are you a dedicated social worker looking for a new challenge? Hertfordshire County Council is seeking dynamic and proactive Family Safeguarding Consultant Social Workers to join our teams in West (Apsley) and East (Stevenage).

As a Consultant Social Worker, you will have a key role in shaping the future of vulnerable children and families by delivering high-quality, specialist social work within the Family Safeguarding framework.

What you'll do:

  • Provide expert guidance and social work interventions to support the safety and well-being of children and families.
  • Lead on assessments, develop comprehensive care plans, and implement tailored interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to offer holistic family support.
  • Use your advanced social work skills to continuously improve service delivery and outcomes.
  • Engage in reflective practice, offering insight and expertise to support team development.

What you'll need:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • At least 1 year of post-qualification experience in social work.
  • Successful completion of the ASYE programme, demonstrating a strong foundation for practice.
