Key Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting for a number of Specialist Cleaning Technicians for work in Plymouth.
Role:
Carry out cleaning and repairs to a comprehensive range of systems and facilities in accordance with company procedures and policies.
Key Responsbilities:
- All tasks to be carried out to customer requirements, ensuring accurate completion of tasks/paperwork and company acceptance sheets signed on completion
- Specialist cleaning & servicing of tanks, bilges, compartments and ventilation cleaning
- Waste Management, keep up to date with & ensure compliance with current H&S and waste regulations
- High pressure jet washing of Systems & Tanks
- Working in Confined Space ensuring correct PPE is used at all times, ensuring compliance to all Health & Safety procedures
- Maintain high-quality cleanliness standards at all times whilst on customer premises
- Understanding of risk assessments, safe working systems, COSH regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times
- Visit customer premises and understand customer requirements
- Assisting other trade groups within the business as and when required
- Undertake fire sentry duty/confined space fire sentry duties as and when required
Skills & Experience
- Ability to start up & shut down vacuum tanker used to remove liquid/waste
- Ability to set up and pump liquid/waste from ship to shore
- Ability to start up & shut down hot pressure washer
- Full understanding of Confined Space working
- Ability to understand and action relevant MAR pack procedures for relevant tasks:- specialist cleaning & services of tanks & bilges
- Ability to differentiate requirements between specialist cleaning standards in tanks/bilges:- Survey Standard, Hot Work Standard, Preservation Standard
Training and Qualifcations
- Undertake & successfully complete IOSH accredited Health & Safety training
- Undertake training in (but not limited to):-
- Manual Handling
- Fire Sentry Duties
- Confined Space Entry/Sentry
- Environmental & Spill control/Response
- COSHH
- Emergency First Aid
Hours of Work:
Monday-Friday 07:30-16:00
Overtime as and when required paid at time and a half
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to pass security clearance
- Driving Licence is essential
