Goods-In Inspector Responsibilities:

  • Oversee incoming goods to ensure deliveries are complete and match purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Inspect incoming goods for quality and ensure all goods are as described and compliance
  • Inform the Goods-In Manager and other departments of discrepancies or faults with incoming goods
  • Handle all administration tasks related to incoming deliveries and checking them in on the system
  • Coordinate deliveries and ensure they are correctly allocated in the warehouse
  • Monitor outgoing goods to ensure they meet the quality expected and customer needs
  • Conduct QHSE inspections and audits on incoming and outgoing goods, recording your findings and producing reports

Goods-In Inspector Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in goods-in management or a similar quality-focused role, ideally gained within the manufacturing sector
  • A CQI Level 3 qualification and experience of ISO management standards would be beneficial
  • Familiar with inventory management systems and processes
  • Flexible and adaptable, with strong organisation and multitasking skills, able to priortise workloads
  • Strong problem-solver, able to use initiative and address issues
  • Attention to detail and able to keep accurate records
