Job Role

My client is a global engineering company, their, Building Services Maintenance division specialises in providing exemplary electrical inspection and testing services specifically designed for Ex Hazardous area installations.

Due to continued growth, they have an opportunity for a skilled Administrative Assistant at their offices in Salford, Manchester. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the dedicated team to uphold their commitment to exceptional customer service, ensure timely information dissemination, and contribute to ongoing improvements in processes and quality standards.

This position is structured around a 35-hour work week, encompassing hours from 08:00 to 16:20 Monday through Thursday, and from 08:00 to 15:20 on Fridays.

They are also open to discussing a 30-hour work week arrangement for the appropriate candidate.

What you'll be doing:

  • Responding to incoming telephone calls, managing inquiries, and addressing various questions from stakeholders
  • Initiating, documenting, and processing purchase orders in accordance with company protocols
  • Drafting and formatting test and inspection reports as prepared by engineering personnel
  • Executing a range of general administrative functions to support operational efficiency
  • Maintaining and updating client portals while ensuring the timely upload of pertinent documentation
  • Conducting data entry tasks and managing information within spreadsheet applications

Your skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience in a corporate office setting
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in various circumstances
  • Strong commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively within a cohesive team environment
  • Keen attention to detail in all tasks undertaken
