Job Title: Support Worker

Location: Edinburgh

About Us: My client is a leading provider of support services for individuals with a variety of needs. They are dedicated to delivering person-centered care and support that promotes independence, dignity, and well being.

Job Description: Are you a passionate and caring support worker with experience making a positive impact in the lives of people facing homelessness, living with substance abuse issues? I am looking for people who can join a team of skilled support workers in assisting those in need.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing personalised care to individuals struggling with substance abuse, homelessness.
  • Coordinating and allocating work tasks, ensuring that support is delivered effectively and in line with individual care plans
  • Assisting service users with daily activities.
  • Undertaking assessments and reviews of individual care plans
  • Liaising with families, carers, and external professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care
  • Monitoring and reporting on the progress and wellbeing of service users

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role within the social care sector
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Experience of working with individuals with complex needs
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care
