MTrec are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Newcastle, who are looking to recruit a new Trainee Cad Operator to join their design team, on a permanent basis. In this role you will be trained in the operation of their CAD processes, so this is an excellent career opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in design. It is ideal if you have some experience or knowledge of computer aided design as a starting point, though your desire, attitude and motivation to start a brand-new career, with a fantastic Newcastle based company are the most important aspects to be considered for the role. The Job You'll Do;

  • This is working on a day shift basis.
  • Following an excellent training programme, you will eventually be able to Operate CAD/CAM software to model and detail the companies exciting range of specialist products.
  • Work as part of a team of Operators.
  • Reporting to Senior Operator and any other management when necessary.

About You;

  • Ideally have some form of experience of using Computers or specifically CAD software.
  • You may have just completed a related course at college, or you may have even decided your University course isn't for you, and you are not looking to start a career as soon as possible.
  • Have a willingness to learn.
  • Have a 'can do attitude.
  • Be able to follow instructions, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Adhere to quality and health and safety standards.
  • Be willing to keep pace with change, acquire new knowledge and skills as the business grows and develops.
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset that is evident in how you work, your team and division.
  • Be reliable and flexible.
  • Take pride in your work and the achievements of your department and the business.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing would be an advantage.
