Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Engineering Apprentice specializing in Electrical and Mechanical systems. This is a full-time apprenticeship role that provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment while pursuing formal education.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Equipment Maintenance: Work alongside experienced engineers to perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting: Learn to identify and troubleshoot issues with machinery, including electrical systems, motors, conveyors, and other mechanical components.
- Installation and Repair: Participate in the installation, repair, and upgrade of electrical and mechanical systems within the facility, under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with electrical and mechanical equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades performed on equipment. Assist in updating equipment manuals and schematics as needed.
- Continuous Learning: Attend college one day a week to complete coursework related to electrical and mechanical engineering. Apply theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world applications within the workplace.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and management to achieve operational goals and improve efficiency.
- Professional Development: Actively participate in training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance technical skills and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Strong interest in electrical and mechanical engineering.
- A basic understanding of electrical circuits and mechanical systems is preferred.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Day-to-day
