THE ROLE:
This is a hands-on role, responsible for assisting the branch manager in maintaining a positive environment and a fast, efficient and friendly service, including:
- Health and Safety
- Warehouse operations and processes are followed, such as bar coding, and effective goods delivery
- Leading work in picking stock, pallet stock packing, loading and unloading of goods, and stock takes
- Ensure faulty equipment is resolved.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous warehouse team leader / management experience
- Firm understanding of warehouse operations and delivery operations
- Understanding of Health and Safety in a warehouse
- Counterbalance forklift truck operator license
- Willing to work on a rota basis
- Computer literate
- Openness to continual change
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- IOSH Accreditation
- 4 Way reach FLT Licence
- NVQ Level 2 Warehousing and Distribution or equivalent qualification
- Experience in working with automated stock and delivery systems (Barred and Transend)
- Awareness of ISO 9001 Quality Control Procedures
SALARY & BENEFITS:
- £16.03 per hour (circa £31258.50 per year)
- Discretionary 5.5% bonus (circa £1,719.22)
- 25 days holiday (up to five to be used for Christmas shutdown)+ public holidays
- Optional healthcare and pension.
