We are seeking a Site Manager to lead the operational management of the Community Diagnostic Centre spoke sites, a key NHS investment programme. This role is pivotal in ensuring that services are delivered effectively and efficiently, maintaining high standards of patient care and operational excellence.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Diagnostic Centres, ensuring services are delivered effectively and efficiently.
  • Implement and maintain systems for appointment bookings, patient communications, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical leads to deliver safe, effective, and caring services.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and engage in project work within the role.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the University Hospital Morecambe Bay Trust, GP practices, and other stakeholders.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for operational matters with partner institutions.
  • Allocate and manage resources, including staff and equipment, efficiently.
  • Monitor the operational budget and coordinate with the finance department to ensure adherence.
  • Lead and guide the Diagnostic Centres team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Manage recruitment, training, and professional development of the team.
  • Ensure continuous adherence to NHS standards and regulations and maintain quality assurance processes.
  • Travel regularly between the Heysham and Barrow sites to ensure service quality and operational procedures are aligned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in project mobilisation and operational management within a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with NHS standards and practices.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
