Right Now Group are looking to recruit for a Operations Manager to join our client based in Farnborough who are a medium sized Freight Forwarder.
The Ideal Operations Manager with have experience in managing a small team within both Air Freight and Road Freight Operations.
Responsibilities of a Operations Manager:
- Coordinating and overseeing the logistics of airfreight operations, including scheduling flights, arranging pickups and deliveries, and ensuring timely departures and arrivals.
- Leading and managing a team of 5 - 6 operators to facilitate the companies Air Import / Export activities and a little but of Road Freight. This involves assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures.
- Liaising with customers and client companies to ensure their airfreight needs are met, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during transportation.
- Implementing process improvements and operational efficiencies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve service quality within the airfreight operations.
The Successful Operations Manager:
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing teams.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of airfreight regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping practices.
- Proven experience in airfreight operations management or a related role within the logistics industry.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
