SAP Project Manager

A Position has arisen within the IS Industrial team in in the UK to support our SAP transition programme. Working with Internal process experts, international colleagues and suppliers, this role looks to coordinate tasks & activities as part of a larger programme of work.

Job Title: SAP Project Manager

Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience

Location: Bolton

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

As part of Information Management (IM), the Information Systems (IS) team focusses on delivering IT solutions that are used to support the business in a variety of domains.

MBDA is working on a migration strategy to move from its current SAP ECC6 systems to SAP S/4HANA across the MBDA Group. This strategy will impact a number of domain areas. The implementation of S/4HANA will provide an opportunity for the each domain to review its use of existing tools and determine a roadmap for consolidation across the Group and provide the best in class tools for our business users.

Working within the IS Industrial team, a key part of the role will be to assist in ensuring that data migration, data integrity, and key functionality are consistent across the SAP ecosystem for the whole company.

We are looking for a confident and driven self-starter who is not afraid to bring fresh, new and innovative ideas into the team.

The ideal candidate will have experience of ERP functionality in a Manufacturing centric environment. An understanding of MRP/Production Planning, Production execution, Manufacturing Master Data (materials, work centres, routings BOMs)

Areas of responsibility:

  • Project and task management for aspects of the SAP.
  • Capturing new SAP requirements and building a portfolio of prospective changes.
  • Key Point of contact for manufacturing user community.
  • Manage suppliers to deliver continuous improvements and change.
  • Collaborate with international teams sharing information & best practice.

What we're looking for from you:

Desirable:

  • A positive attitude, capable of working in high pressure and challenging environments.
  • Excellent organisational skill.
  • Team player with the ability to motivate others.
  • Demonstrable ability and understanding of Requirements capture, process mapping and presenting solution options to key stakeholders.
  • Defence or Public Sector Experience.

Required:

  • Security Clearance to SC level (but can start on BPSS)
  • Ability to travel both within the UK and Europe if required.
  • ERP experience (MRP/Production Planning, Production execution, Manufacturing Master Data)
