- HGV Technician - Ashford, Kent - OTE Up to £52,000*
Are you an experienced and qualified HGV Technician looking to join a growing company in Ashford, Kent. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.
As a HGV Technician you will have the opportunity to work day or night shifts in the Ashford, Kent area.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HGV vehicles according to company and manufacturer guidelines.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and perform repairs as necessary.
- Conduct MOT inspections and ensure vehicles meet regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding vehicle issues and repair time lines.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician
- Recognised qualifications in HGV Technician and repair (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of HGV systems and components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required.
