Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Vocational Education Instructor to join our Post-16 Vocational Education Provision in Newcastle upon Tyne. This role is to cover maternity leave and will involve delivering high-quality instruction in construction-related courses to our learners. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to vocational education, and a passion for supporting young people in their career development. Experience in working in construction desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons in construction qualifications, ensuring that all learners gain valuable hands-on experience.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to within the vocational centre.
  • Support learners in achieving their qualifications and preparing them for future employment opportunities in the construction industry.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience in teaching or instructing in a vocational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up to date with industry standards.
