Our client based in the Wrexham area are looking to recruit a HR Advisor on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Talent Manager, as the HR Advisor you will provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures, in line with UK legislation. Maintain positive employee relations and work collaboratively with stakeholders to enhance employee satisfaction.

Performance Objectives

  • Act as a first point of contact for all HR related queries.
  • Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
  • Provide guidance and support with Employee Relations cases (absence management, performance management, discipline and grievance) including attending hearings as note taker and advisor.
  • Manage the end to end recruitment process and assist managers in interviews, as required.
  • Maintain employee files and records on the HRIS - Workday and ADP.
  • Support and coach Managers with completing the annual appraisal process.
  • Assist with the maintenance and revision of Company Policies to reflect legislative changes.
  • Liaise with the SHE Engineer and facilitate Occupational Health visits by managing the schedule and recording reports appropriately.
  • Provide monthly information for payroll to include new starter/leaver information, employment changes and any matter affecting individuals pay.
  • Compile the monthly HR report for key stakeholders.
  • Work with the Talent Manager to develop and implement current and planned HR and Environment Social Governance (ESG) initiatives to support the business.
  • Support HR projects as required, including learning and development and change management initiatives.
  • Manage personal, sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Contribute towards the continuous improvement of procedures and processes within the HR department.
  • Build positive and effective relationships with union and agency suppliers, as required.
  • Keep up to date with any changes to employment legislation and update policies and procedures accordingly to ensure legal compliance.

  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm and a can-do approach.
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Good IT Skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Conversant with HR Systems - Workday, ADP.
  • Graduate level and/or CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent.
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing business.
