Teaching Assistant

Position: Teaching Assistant

As a Teaching Assistant in our SEN and SEMH schools, you will play a crucial role in supporting students aged 5-16 years. You will work closely with teachers to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, helping students overcome barriers to their education and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, tailored to their individual needs.
  • Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment.
  • Support students with their social and emotional development.
  • Help implement Individual Education Plans and monitor progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people.
  • Resilience, patience, and a caring nature.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience working in a SEN or SEMH setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training.
