I am working with a client-side Town Planning company, who are looking for a Development Planner to join their growing team in Bolton! This exciting opportunity is perfect for an experienced Town Planner to transfer over to client side of the Planning industry. My client is interested in candidates with 2 years' experience in either the public sector or private sector. This company has been established for over 40 years and have exciting projects all over the Northwest of the UK.
The Planning team specialise in securing planning permissions, site appraisals, conducting feasibility studies, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will be providing professional support in advising on and preparing planning submissions (policy, appraisals, applications etc). You will be working as part of the Planning Team in the Bolton office, with the support of the Senior members of the team.
Essential Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications required
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Planning, either Private or Public sector
- Eligibility for MRTPI
- BSc qualification in planning or related field with relevant modules
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and able to prepare/give presentations
- Good organisational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of planning, the land development process and associated legal, technical, political, market and economic influences
- Knowledge/experience of development appraisals, master planning, planning applications/appeals and management of internal/external project teams
This role come with a completive salary of £25,000 - £35,000, depending on experience, and several generous company benefits.
