We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking labourer to join our Highway Maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and enhancement of our local infrastructure, ensuring our roads and pathways are safe and well-maintained for the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with routine and emergency maintenance of highways and footpaths.
- Carrying out general labouring tasks, including loading and unloading materials.
- Operating and maintaining hand tools and equipment.
- Supporting skilled workers with various tasks as needed.
- Ensuring work sites are safe, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Reporting any issues or potential hazards to the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in labouring, preferably within a highways or construction environment.
- CSCS card.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Full UK driving licence.
