About the Role

Base Location: Flexible UK, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading or Havant.

Salary: £55,200-£83,000 depending on experience + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

What is the role?

As an Operations Project Manager, you will work within the SSE Offshore Asset Management Excellence Team. You will be responsible for leading the development of strategy, operational projects, integration, and performance improvement across the Offshore Wind Portfolio. This includes pre and post auction support for future projects, ensuring their alignment with the current operational strategy.

Main accountabilities may include:

  • Managing and leading a small team of multi-disciplined personnel.
  • Developing operational strategies and OPEX models totalling approximately £1 billion.
  • Providing operational design guidance and lessons learned to the Renewables Development team.
  • Developing and approving operational readiness programs for future projects.
  • Collaborating at Board Level with Joint Venture project teams to contribute to Operations & Maintenance strategy and auction bid supply chain plans.

What do I need

To be successful in this role, we would love you to have:

  • Experience in leadership and management within the energy industry, particularly in high-performance environments.
  • Proven project management experience, preferably with a background in continuous improvement (Lean processes & operational excellence).
  • Experience in Offshore Wind Operations is preferable.
  • Experience in an operational or commercial role with strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally as necessary.
