Smurfit Westrock Composites, currently have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Account Manager. Reporting to the Customer Service Team Leader, the successful applicant will work effectively as part of the IAM team to deliver excellent customer service and ensure ‘on time' deliveries to our valued customers.

Key job requirements

Main Duties

  • Act as point of contact for existing and new customers
  • Receive sales enquiries and initiate the quotation process, obtaining the appropriate material prices from designated vendors (tube wraps, tinplate and components)
  • Processing sales orders, amendments and cancellations in a timely and efficient manner whilst ensuring customers are kept fully informed
  • Raise purchase orders for customer requirements with the designated vendors ensuring that all materials are available to meet the scheduled date for production
  • Ensure excess or aged stocks are kept to an absolute minimum with all finished goods and raw materials being charged out to each client within their agreed guidelines and timelines
  • Liaise with various departments including planning, transport and external sales to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Communicate with outside contractors regarding delivery of goods and also collection of goods as and when required
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards in the work/office area and ensure Health & Safety policies are met

Skills, Knowledge, Experience

  • Experience working in a sales or customer service role
  • Experience in managing key accounts
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in the use of a computerised sales order processing system for data entry and record maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of SAP would be advantage

  • Good attention to detail and be required to demonstrate initiative

  • Passionate, hard worker and well organised professional with power to prioritise and multitask
