Our client is seeking an experienced Purchasing Administrator to join their busy team!

The successful Purchasing Administrator will process sales and purchase orders for furniture and refurbishment projects, to enable the supply of products and services to fulfil customer requirements and will manage supplier and sales/purchase order lists.

  • £30,000 p/a
  • 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
  • Monday - Friday

Role Accountabilities:

  • Targets - Meet or exceed weekly KPI targets for processing orders.
  • Service to Sales Department - Processing sales and purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • System Management - Management and updating of IT system and workflow to ensure current accuracy.
  • Supplier Relationship - Building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers through effective communication and follow-up.
  • Staff Collaboration - Liaison with sales, warehouse, finance and estimating staff to ensure delivery date requirements are met.
  • Additional: Processing orders for paper and invoicing to cover other staff absence.

Skills and Competencies needed as the Purchasing Administrator:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear and articulate telephone manner.
  • ‘Can-do' attitude with ability to be flexible and agile on working methods
  • Ability to work independently and to embrace additional new tasks and skills
  • Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines and targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively and professionally as part of a team.
  • A results-driven attitude with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Flexibility in dealing with a variety of prospects and situations.
