What you will be doing...
- Lead the production of Management Accounts including all relevant accruals, prepayments and adjustments, completed and verified to a high level of accuracy.
- Monitoring and reviewing all system generated, automated and manual postings including approving manual journals.
- Own the reconciliation of income and costs from any finance or operational system which interacts with the management accounts and ensuring integrity and validity of journal postings from those financial or operational systems.
- Providing financial support, building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with Business Unit Management.
- Providing commercial Insight to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered.
- Managing daily, weekly and month-end processes with specific responsibility to improve timeliness, accuracy and efficiency of product.
- Preparing board slides and commentary.
- Critically review and enhance processes.
- Lead responses to Audit requests during the year end process.
- Providing ad-hoc MI as and when required.
- Provision of technical advice during projects initiation and scoping. Testing and sign off for relevant projects.
What we're looking for...
- Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Experience of multi-site or similar size Business
- Experience of supporting operational teams
- Experience of interaction with Shared Services
- Sun systems knowledge preferred
- Experience of Microsoft packages
