Job Specification: Test Analyst
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Test Analyst with a proven history of enhancing team performance by introducing innovative techniques, processes, and best practices. The ideal candidate will possess extensive QA expertise in both manual and automated testing, coupled with practical knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Senior Test Analyst to evaluate and improve upon the QA team's strengths, weaknesses, risks, and opportunities, contributing to the team's long-term vision and goals.
- Engage in hands-on manual and automated testing activities on a daily basis.
- Adhere to and document audit processes, such as test sign-offs, ensuring compliance and traceability.
- Innovate and refine testing procedures to boost efficiency and overall performance.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to project and product managers, providing insights on risk assessment and project timelines to facilitate informed decision-making.
About the Ideal Candidate:
- In-depth experience in manual and automated testing, specifically with .NET Applications.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
- Proficient in testing APIs, databases, and technical aspects of software quality assurance.
- Independent, proactive, and comfortable in a distributed team setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of software product life cycles.
- Practical experience with tools like Oracle DB, Nunit, and Xunit frameworks.
- Skilled in working with multi-tier systems and integrating various platforms.
- Knowledgeable in data models, data integration testing, and industry best practices and standards.
- Capable of analyzing business requirements, creating test plans, estimates, strategies, cases, and data.
- Coordination with stakeholders for test plan approvals.
- Management and organization of test data for executing test cases.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Agile and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in performance testing is advantageous.
- Experience with manual and automated testing of Power Platform applications is highly desirable.
