Job Specification for Regional Sales Manager - North

Background Due to the successes of 2022, my client is looking to expand their sales team further through the addition of a Regional Sales Manager for the North.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of one of the fastest growing companies in the fire and security industry.

The Role Reporting directly into the UK Sales Manager, this is an excellent role for an experienced Business Development Manager who is looking to take the next step in their career progression.

This role will mirror the existing role of Regional Sales Manager- Midlands and will cover the northern territories (M62 Corridor, North East, North West)

This role is initially a sales role, with the remit of growing business in the region.

When the growth targets for the region are met, it will then be down to the Regional Sales Manager to build a team under them to further grow business in the region.

Support and product training will be given but this would suit a candidate with a background in the Fire and Security Industry as independent working will be required early on in the role.

Location

- The candidate needs to be based in the region of work and be willing to travel to all parts of the region, ideally the candidate will be located in a commutable distance to our office in Pontefract.

Candidate Profile

  • Background in either sales, security, health and safety or loss prevention with a minimum of 5 years' experience
  • Having worked for a key player in one of the above industries or a proven record of selling electronic goods and or services to them such as POS, Asset Tagging, Access Control, CCTV. Fire, Intruder etc.
  • Experienced in selling to Public Sector, Retail, Manufacturing and/or Warehousing clients
  • Is able to generate own appointments and leads and already has existing relationships with

Loss Prevention Managers/ Security Managers/ Health and Safety Managers/ Regional Managers in the above industries

  • Desirable is some technical knowhow as the candidate will be required to set systems up and configure them for presentations, but support can be given in presenting product from a technical perspective as required by other staff members if necessary.
