JOB- QHSE Manager

LOCATION- Birmingham

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £40,000 - £

55,000 per annum plus benefits (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a QHSE Manager on a permanent basis in the Birmingham area with experience in the Manufacturing Industry. Your main duty will be to Manage the Quality team and function within the manufacturing business as well as being hands on with solving any Quality Engineering issues.

The QHSE

Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Proven experience as a QHSE Manager in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification is essential.
  • Internal or Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and engage staff at all levels to ensure a positive approach to QHSE.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and create reports.

The Quality

Manager role will involve:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain QHSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality legislation and regulations.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, and manage non-conformities through effective corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Conduct risk assessments and support operational teams in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through regular training, toolbox talks, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on QHSE performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver QHSE training programs to ensure employee awareness and understanding of standards and procedures.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and ensure compliance.
  • Act as the point of contact for all QHSE-related matters, providing expertise and guidance to the wider team.
