We are inviting dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our outstanding SEN school in Plymouth as Special Needs Teaching Assistants. This role is an incredible opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children aged 2 to 19 with a wide range of special educational needs.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN during classroom activities, ensuring their individual learning goals are met.
- Assist with personal care, mobility, and sensory needs as required.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and social interaction.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to support the pupils' educational journey.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or adults with special needs or UK-based healthcare experience is essential.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to support and make a difference in the lives of children with SEN.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs, providing tailored support to each pupil.
