Temporary Accounts Assistant

**Proficiency in Xero is essential**

Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Assistant to support their accounts department. This role involves various accounting tasks and requires a proactive individual with experience in Xero.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing Accounts Inbox: Overseeing daily management and responding to inquiries.
  • Accounts Payable: Receiving and recording invoices in the system, processing payment runs, and issuing supplier remittances.
  • Accounts Receivable: Sending invoices to clients, issuing monthly statements, and managing credit control.
  • Cash Postings and Bank Reconciliation: Handling daily cash postings and reconciling bank statements.
  • Processing Weekly Payment Runs: Ensuring timely and accurate execution of payment runs.
  • Nominal Ledger: Accurately processing journal entries.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with the operations team to resolve any queries.
  • Administrative and Analytical Tasks: Performing various administrative duties and financial analyses as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in accounts is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Xero is essential. IT literate with proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
