REED Education are seeking a SEN Teacher for a Specialist school across different Year Groups near the Blackburn area. This role is a full-time position covering 5 days per week and is to start in September. The role is a temporary maternity cover, continuing for the full term until December 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for a long-term Teacher cover working in a lovely Specialist School.
Qualified Teacher Status in essential, and previous experience/strong knowledge of teaching children with SEN and complex needs is preferred.
Within this role, your main responsibilities will be:
- Preparing, planning, and delivering high standards of lessons to ensure the continuous development of our pupils
- Mark and monitor classwork, alongside setting targets for future progress
- Establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers
- Have a clear understanding of all the needs of all pupils
- Monitoring pupils progress in reference to the school's practice
- Excellent behaviour management skills
