Our client are a leading public sector organisation dedicated to providing high-quality services to the community. They are committed to leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery. As part of their strategic transformation, they are seeking an accomplished and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join their executive team.
Role Overview;
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will play a pivotal role in driving technological innovation and ensuring the resilience and availability of critical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive technology strategy that supports organisational goals and enhances service delivery.
Key Responsibilities;
- Formulate and execute a forward-looking technology strategy aligned with the organisation's objectives.
- Lead the IT department in delivering cutting-edge technology solutions and services.
- Oversee the deployment, management, and optimisation of IT infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud-based systems.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of critical systems and data.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence within the IT team.
- Engage with key stakeholders to understand and address their technology needs and challenges.
- Manage IT budgets, resources, and vendor relationships effectively to maximise value.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and security standards.
Key Requirements;
- Extensive experience in a senior technology leadership role, ideally within the public sector.
- Demonstrated success in driving technological change and delivering measurable improvements.
- In-depth knowledge of emerging technologies and their potential applications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with a focus on execution and results.
- Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
- Eligibility for UK Security Clearance.
- Residency in or proximity to the East Midlands.
