I am seeking an experienced Internal Account Manager to join my client based in Basildon. My client has a friendly and talented team in Basildon and this role is ideal for a candidate with previous account management experience and a track record of managing a small team. The successful candidate will provide professional support and guidance to our Internal Sales Coordinators and manage their own customer portfolio, ensuring the highest levels of customer care and efficiency.

Day to day of the role:

  • Lead and manage a small team of internal sales coordinators, maintaining motivation and fostering positive morale.
  • Serve as the primary contact for an assigned customer portfolio, ensuring effective communication and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage with Production Management daily to optimise the efficiency of the production schedule.
  • Lead daily production meetings, making necessary amendments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide customers with quotes for recurring orders and respond promptly to enquiries.
  • Generate works orders according to customer schedules and process sales orders with attention to detail.
  • Run monthly reports to identify risks and potential financial losses.
  • Escalate complaints to the relevant department immediately and handle courier bookings and paperwork.
  • Generate picklists and delivery notes for dispatch, book in returns, and assess delivery schedules daily.
  • Advise customers of any issues with their orders and maintain high standards of customer care at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Essential:

  • Experience managing or supervising a small team.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Prior background in a customer-facing role.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Desirable:

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Factory Master is beneficial.

This is a site-based role with working hours from 08:00 – 16:30 (Monday to Thursday) and 08:00 – 15:30 (Fridays).
