The Role:
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that various outdoor spaces are kept in pristine condition. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Grass cutting and lawn care
- Hedge trimming and pruning
- Weed control and planting
- Basic tree care
- Maintenance of equipment and tools
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections of grounds to identify areas needing attention
- Operate a variety of garden machinery safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects to a high standard
- Maintain clear and open communication with the site supervisor
- Ensure all work is carried out in a timely and professional manner
Requirements:
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a similar position
- Knowledge of horticultural practices and landscape maintenance
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment and machinery
- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks
- Full UK driving licence is essential
