Commercial Finance Manager

Role Overview:

The Commercial Business Partner will be a key strategic advisor and partner to business units, driving commercial performance, financial insights, and value creation. You will work closely with leadership teams to provide financial analysis, strategic guidance, and decision support, ensuring alignment between commercial strategy and financial objectives. This role bridges finance and operations, aiming to optimize profitability and ensure sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy Development:

  • Partner with business leaders to develop, implement, and monitor commercial strategies that align with company goals.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

  • Provide robust financial analysis, insights, and reporting on business performance. Create forecasts, budgeting models, and profitability assessments to drive informed decision-making.

Business Performance Monitoring:

  • Track KPIs, analyze trends, and assess business unit performance, recommending actions to enhance profitability and cost efficiency.

Decision Support:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial viability of projects, new ventures, and investments. Support pricing, product, and market expansion decisions with data-driven insights.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the liaison between the finance team and business units, fostering strong relationships and communication channels to facilitate timely and accurate financial information sharing.

Risk Management:

  • Identify financial and operational risks within the business and propose strategies to mitigate these risks while maintaining profitability.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive process improvements within commercial and financial operations to streamline reporting, analysis, and forecasting capabilities.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for assigned business units, ensuring realistic and achievable targets are set.

Cost Optimization:

  • Analyze cost structures and provide recommendations to optimize operational and capital expenditures while maintaining business objectives.
