This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive Accounts Semi Senior to join our thriving team in the Accounting & Finance department of a professional services company. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving our financial operations.

Description

  • Will be responsible for accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT and Tax Returns for clients, under the supervision of the Accounts & Tax Managers
  • Monitor and analyse accounting data to produce financial reports.
  • Bookkeeping work, including banking management on multiple large businesses.
  • Establish and enforce financial procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.
  • Will also be required to carry out preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns, so knowledge and experience of this will also be required.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Provide guidance to junior members of the team.

Profile

A successful Accounts Semi Senior should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within professional services.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A problem-solving mindset with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience of using CCH and/or IRIS is essential.
  • Knowledge of Xero, Quickbooks, Sage is required.
