Our client is seeking a highly competent Interim Management Accountant to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities of the Interim Management Accountant

As an Interim Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role within the finance team. Your primary responsibility will be to produce monthly management accounts, including assisting with the preparation of monthly Board reports & information packs. You will analyse variances against budget, prepare detailed commentary highlighting key drivers behind fluctuations, and own the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process. Your ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be essential in this role. Additionally, you will provide invaluable support during the company's annual statutory audit and on ad-hoc projects as required.

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with the preparation of monthly Board reports & information packs.
  • Analyse variances against budget and prepare detailed commentary highlighting the main drivers behind fluctuations.
  • Prepare Monthly journals for accruals, depreciation, prepayments, operating expenses etc.
  • Own the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process, ensuring policy compliance and timely investigation of any unreconciled items.
  • Build strong relationships and rapport with stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Ensure that financial management policies and procedures adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Support with the company's annual statutory audit.
  • Provide training and support to junior members of the team.
  • Provide support on ad-hoc projects as required.

What the successful candidate will bring

  • ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • High competency in preparing management accounts and costing activities.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and proactively solve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience using Oracle NetSuite is desirable.
