Location: Central London
This is a band 7 position available for an experienced occupational therapist who is highly specialsit dealing with orthopaedic and spinal conditions
Start date: ASAP-3 months
Shift pattern: Monday-Friday, 9:00-17:00
Hours: Full time (37.5hrs/week)
Job description:
- The Occupational Therapist will assess transfers, mobility, access and daily living skills, arrange equipment and advise on packages of care to facilitate safe and timely discharge. They will also provide ward based intervention to support occupational engagement and give advice regarding postural management.
- The post-holder will be required to make decisions regarding prioritisation of children and young people requiring assessment and intervention as part of the surgical pathway
Essential:
- Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist with individuals with physical disabilities and providing occupational therapy to address occupational performance difficulties that result from disability or trauma.
- Excellent understanding of orthopaedic paediatric conditions & the therapeutic interventions indicated to support occupational engagement.
