Your new company is a global, market-leading tier one supplier to the automotive industry, based at their site in Liverpool. They are recruiting for an Engineering & Maintenance Manager on an initial 12 month FTC, which is highly likely to be extended past the initial 12 month period, to support the manufacturing, maintenance and engineering teams.
Your new role
- Your main duty will be providing direct line management, guidance and support for the engineering, maintenance and manufacturing teams.
- You will be accountable for the management of various projects to support site development, as well as managing product launches and supporting continuous improvement activities.
- You will ensure Engineering and Maintenance KPI's are updated, and owning resolution of any concerns as well as following up issues requiring any intervention
- You will develop and manage Engineering and Maintenance budgets and work with and manage maintenance teams to identify recurring and common faults and drive corrective actions based on impact in terms of frequency and total time stoppages.
What you'll need to succeed
- You are a time-served, multi-skilled engineer, qualified to HND / degree level.
- You have experience within a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment, ideally within a JIT / Lean manufacturing environment
- You have a good, working knowledge of regulatory requirements, H&S, LOTO, PUWER, etc.
- You have excellent organisational and communication skills and a be a confident decision maker and be able work under pressure.
- You have experience in delivering significant CAPEX projects
