Our client are seeking a Senior Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer/Manager to join their dynamic operations team. In this role, you will work independently or alongside other engineers to provide reliable, high-quality fire system commissioning services to clients. Your responsibilities will cover all aspects of project delivery, from design through to completion, ensuring fire systems are installed, commissioned, and maintained to the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee fire system installation projects from design through to final handover, reporting directly to clients.

  • Commission various fire and security systems, including:

  • Advanced, Gent, Apollo, and Hochiki systems.

  • Emergency Voice Alarm Communication systems.

  • Public Address Systems and Audio Induction Loops.

  • Kentec fire panels.

  • Lead and manage a team of fire and security technicians, ensuring the department runs smoothly day-to-day.

  • Coordinate and oversee the installation of fire and security systems, including alarms, CCTV, access control, and fire suppression systems.

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding fire and security projects.

  • Ensure all fire and security systems comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.

  • Procure necessary equipment, tools, and materials for installations and maintenance.

  • Plan and execute projects from initial design through to implementation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a multi-disciplined Fire Engineer.
  • Familiarity with BAFE accreditation.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems such as Gent, Advanced, Hochiki, and others.
  • Commissioning experience is a significant advantage.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK, including overnight stays when required.
  • Flexible, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Confident and professional, with the ability to fault-find and work independently.
  • Health & Safety trained.
