Helpdesk Technician 1st Line Support

We are currently recruiting for a Helpdesk Technician to join a managed service provider based in Sheffield. This role focuses on providing first-line technical support to clients, ensuring efficient resolution of issues and excellent customer service.

Helpdesk Technician (1st Line Support)
Sheffield/Onsite
£25,000 - £27,000

Main Duties:

  • Act as the initial point of contact for technical support queries via phone, email, or ticketing system.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, escalating more complex problems to senior technicians when necessary.
  • Provide assistance with software installations, upgrades, and configurations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all support activities and interactions using the ticketing system.
  • Ensure timely resolution of service requests to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Assist with user account management and password resets.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of technical documentation and knowledge base articles.

Tech Stack:

  • Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
  • Office 365
  • Basic network troubleshooting (DNS, DHCP)
  • Remote desktop support tools
