2nd Line Engineer

Main Responsibilities for the successful 2nd Line Engineer:
- Provide remote support to desktop and server issues.
- Installation of new systems both in our Tech Centre and at clients' site.
- Provide 2nd line onsite and remote support for multiple technologies.
- Troubleshooting of known and unknown issues related to the above technologies.
- Manage incidents to resolution and within SLA requirements.
- Escalating incidents to the next tier where necessary.
- Communicate and provide information by relevant methods internally and externally to assist and enable organizational operations and effective service.
- Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.
- Follow & Adhere to the requirements of Quality Management System Policies & Procedures.

Main requirements for the successful 2nd Line Engineer:
- Min 2 years working in a Managed Service Provider or similar role.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or working towards.
- Experience of working in a data centre environment.
- Worked to support a large number of clients with different technologies and requirements.
- Understanding of and hands on experience with networking technologies and their associated concepts such as VLANs/LAN/WAN/WiFi/DHCP/DNS.
- A strong understanding of supporting Microsoft Exchange Server & it's associated technologies.
- Exposure & understanding of the use & benefit of RMM solutions in the automation of machine maintenance and remote fixes.
