Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer
Location: Hereford
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Salary: £18.03/hour + Overtime Options
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday, 8-hour rotating shifts (Early Days & Afternoons)
About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our client in Hereford. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving various equipment and systems, contributing to operational efficiency and safety. This role involves mechanical, electrical, and sometimes software expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system faults.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Identify and implement process improvements for better efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Ensure all maintenance is performed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of industrial electrical experience (Essential).
- Proven experience in multi-skilled engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment (Essential).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults confidently.
- Familiarity with IT software, including Microsoft packages (Desirable).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
